British American Tobacco (BAT) Ireland has called for stricter regulation of e-cigarettes flavored with sweets, desserts and soft drinks. The company believes this will make the e-cigarette industry more responsible.
In November, lawmakers voted to ban the sale of e-cigarette products to minors. The legislation was subsequently approved by the Senate and signed into law by President Michael D. Hking (Michael D Higgin). Currently, the law is awaiting an order to begin enforcement.
In an interview, Health Minister Stephen Donnelly (Stephen Donnelly) said the rules were "very important" and would be implemented "soon".
